Projects all around

Hello my students,

I hope you have enjoyed Native Americans and Ecosystems.  It is now time to get ready for a couple of projects.  We will be doing different projects in the media center this week.  We will also learn about European Explorers.  So get ready.  On Wednesday, we will have a quiz on Native Americans so study your notes.

Half way through the first marking period

I can't believe we have been in school for about a month now.  We have been exposed to so much.  Remember our first science observation, when that giant lizard tried to attack me.  But on a serious note, we are almost done with ecosystems.  That means that a project is in our mists.  So get ready... it will be here soon.  In Social Studies, it is time to add European Explorers to North America.  We will see what impact if any the explorers had on the Native Americans.

To my young scientists and historians, you are more than welcome to post a positive comment.

Predator vs. Prey

Good morning my scientists,

I hope you are enjoying your long holiday weekend. Hopefully, you are spending some of your free time telling your family about the experiment we conducted on Friday.  Our experiment was to observe how animals act in the wild.  Since we could not find any animals to observe, we decided to act out how they behave in the wild.  The students received a crash course on what it is probably like to be the prey and the predator.  When we came back inside, they had to write about their experiences as predator or prey.

Mini experiment with black water.  Thank you to Mr. Anderson, Ms. MacDonald and Ms. Deigh for being brave enough to try our experiment with us.  The students that volunteered stated that the black water tasted just like regular water.
